AI Measurement Engine

Body measurements from photos, built on a standardised anatomical landmark registry.

Overview

A measurement engine that turns ordinary phone photos into tailoring-grade body measurements. Under it sits a registry of hundreds of named anatomical landmarks — face, torso, limbs, surface contours — so every measurement is defined once, reproducible, and explainable.

What I built

  • Anatomical Landmark Registry: standardised landmark IDs and display names across the whole body, including facial surface morphology and contour features
  • Layered pipeline: object detection → segmentation → pose → anatomical detail extraction → 3D model
  • Height / weight / BMI relationship models and measurement limits to sanity-check every output
  • Device reference points for iPhone models so scale is recovered without a calibration object
  • Feeds the Tryon API twin creator and Zimrics size recommendations
