Dress Detection API
A garment-understanding engine that reads a dress the way a tailor does.
Overview
Given a photo, the engine detects the garment, segments it, and describes it in structured tailoring terms — category, collar, neckline, sleeve type, embroidery and coverage — using a universal garment registry so every dress, from a kurta to an evening gown, maps to the same vocabulary.
What I built
- Universal Garment Coverage Registry and a complete dress-card taxonomy: collars, necklines, sleeves, hemlines, embroidery
- Detection + segmentation stack trained and evaluated on DeepFashion2, Fashionpedia and ModaNet
- Embroidery and print detection, text extraction on labels, and attribute tagging with FashionCLIP
- 3D modelling track for turning detected garments into try-on-ready assets
- Region library and UI screens for reviewing, correcting and approving detections
